Malign Melanoma

Due to the fact that the sun is more effective, malign melanoma is seen more in recent years. In 1980, it was 2.4 out of 100,000 but rose to 7.6 in 100,000 in the year 2000. Malign melanoma is more frequently seen on the skin but can also be seen inside the mouth, lip, esophagus, nasal passage, vagina, and rectum. Thoughts that lead us to think it is melanoma is if the birth mark color becomes darker or lighter in color, if it irregularly expands nearby, irregular borders, or if it is larger that 6 mm. The propagation degree of the tumor is done based on Clark’s classification and Breslow’s classification. Clark: the tumors skin layers spreading, Breslow: the tumors thickness (main for them), if the tumors thickness is less than 1 mm, 1 cm, and if it is thicker than 1 mm, 3 cm of normal skin should be removed along with the tumor. It is advised to clean the lymph nodes if there is immersion in near places. Surgical treatment is the most effective type of treatment for melanoma. Treatments such as chemotherapy and other developing immunity treatments are applied. Radiotherapy is not really effective.
